Bob King - President
In 1985, after several years as a fitter/welder, Bob King saw the need for custom-built truck beds for ranchers and horsemen in the North Texas area. His vision was to open a welding shop that was able to manufacture a high quality truck bed that could stand up to the abuse & and work demand of Texas Cowboys and Ranchers. He began his business later that year as King's Welding in Boyd, Texas. He later changed the name to King's Truck Beds, Inc. Today, Bob still designs and manufactures truck beds where quality construction and durability comes first.
Mike Christensen - General Manager
In 2001, Bob brought in Mike to become the general manager and learn the day to day operations of the business. Mike had spent the previous 10 years serving in the United States Air Force and NATO aboard the E3 - AWACS aircraft. Mike's experience allowed him to bring new quality control measures and fresh ideas to an already quality minded business. Expanding the retail side of our business, managing pre-existing wholesale accounts, introducing our business to the internet, and venturing into e-commerce are future projects that Mike will be overseeing.
